No man is an island...

The world is a book. If one page is torn out, the book is not destroyed; merely rewritten.

And with every old page that is torn out, a new one is set in its place. Every new page must be translated, every new page must be understood.

For no one man is an island, an entirety to himself.

Another man's death affects me as if it had been my own; for I am a member of mankind.

So do not ask of me for who the bell tolls, it tolls me.

John Donne
