Left Hemisphere Dominant

Science has long known that humans are left hemisphere Dominant.

Presented with a task a Brain will first try to remember a simular situation to draw comparision from (pattern recognition). If this does not work, the Brain will then try to think creatively to solve the problem.

However new research indicates instead of a simple logical process, the Brain actively supresses the Right Hemisphere until required.

This makes sense as it is more efficent to run one or the other. Yet at the same time it limits the brains creative capability.

This is also shown in reference to age, as a child we have to be think creatively to draw understanding from the world then the more we learn, the less creative we have to be.

This has clear psychological references as well, OCD (Left Over Dominance) Asberguer Syndrome (Right Over Dominance).

Shakespeare shift

Shakespeare uses a linguistic technique known as functional shift that causes people to be instantly aware or be forced to rethink what is being said to gain the full meaning.

This is akin to research into Wit; whereby a sudden surge in brain inter-activity occurs.

Carrot and stick

We operate under a carrot and stick priciple.

However the reality is the carrot is always just out of reach, or it is never enough to compensate for the constant threat of a stick.

The stick should be used for those who have commited a crime, not thought crime.

Paradigm shift

This is a sudden shift in logic or laterial thinking.

Predominately used in reference of how science proclams something to be fact, then new research indicates otherwise. Hence the paradigm ie the concept of what is considered to be true shifts to accomodate this new data.

The issue is not that science is wrong, but that it should not be questioned. We progressively are growing a sense of nostalgia about what is true even though it may verywell be wrong. In these changing times we grab onto things as a comfort blanket in a childish attempt at holding something which is constant. However life is change.

social intelligence

The simple truth is before the spoken language we communicated through body language and eye signals. The problem now is that we do not follow our instincts but cling onto social construct and hence a fractured society arises.

Politics of exclusion

I fully agree, humans are social creatures and thus suffer if they are excluded.

The politics of exclusion originates from competition laws within our species, which is over emphasized in modern culture. Arising a fractured society.

Existence

Erich Fromm asks an important question in Sane Society, is the society we live in insane?

We operate on a level of ruthless logic, society is greater than the individual; the individual who has become a trapped lab rat in a worthless maze.

Society is made out of individuals, we make the world in which we live.

Which begs the question what is sane? We now know that we are constructed of DNA, our memorys electro-chemcial sequences, a brain mass three times bigger than any other species on the planet...

Yet why is the soul of man lost in the machine? We can not just merely operate. Humans are greater than the sum of thier parts.

If the 21st Century is the product of countless social victories, Why do we suffer now so much from social disfunctions?

People assume you come from a normal family background and thus those who don't are lost.

Social Construct

Social Construct has been actually described as being a deconstruct, it is infact an absense/retraction from reality. Like a blackhole, it exists because there is nothing to see.

It is Akin to hate, it can make you feel alive but it is not worth living for.

Existance is all about running a fine line.

Temporal Causality

(Those who ignore the past; are comdemmed to repeat it.)

A lesson in Temporal Causality. I have been on this planet as long as I have lived. On a daly basis I come across people who have lived thier whole lives and not figured life out yet.

How is it after 4.9 billion years of evolution, people fail to recognise the sheer immensity of what they and everyone else are?

People are born with original programming; DNA. On top of that is layered, Social Construct, on the top of that, Counter Culture.

Is it really possible for me to exceed my programming?

Equilibrium

Equilibrium is often seen as being in balance or harmony, that every action has an opposite and equal re-action.

I perfer to see it as a point of instability. Much like being human. Everything is relative.

...otherwise know as 'EQ'.

Update: I've read up on this. Its rather insightful. In essense it is about how effectively we deal with our emotions and how our modern society fails to take acount of them correctly.

Ego Concept

To further Shadow Aspect, the question has to be asked... does Self exist?

The modern concept of Self is a Social Construct, as there is no real evolutionary imperitive for what most people see as Ego. Which is infact invariably the Superego, or persona.

'Self' is a virus. You have to learn to let yourself go.

Pyschological Spectrum

The Psychological Spectrum stretches from sociopathic (introvert) to psychopathic (extrovert) tendencies. The extremes of which are an irrational fear of society, paranoia etc to delusions of grandeur and psychotic behaviour. Sociopaths are more likely to commit suicide whilst psychopaths are more likely to kill someone they know.

Shadow Aspect

Even though the ID is the most substantial part of the mind, early on in childhood it is suppressed by social constrains forming a negative image, which in turn is denied as a defensive mechanism forming the sociopathic Shadow aspect. Simultaneously the Superego is formed projecting a false self, conforming to societies sense of norm. Although the Superego suppresses the Shadow aspect, the Shadow remains, hence indicating that social skills such as morality, is a learned trait.

The Wrath of Freud

Psychologist have made a god out of Freud, and like most religions, to speak against the faith is heresy.

Here within lies my semantic interpretation of psychology.


A good metaphor is an iceberg. 90% of an iceberg is submerged, much like the subconscious. The water represents subconscious whilst the sky above consciousness.



The ID is the largest part of the iceberg; the fundamental part of the human nature, the basic instinct, sociopathic ruthless logic, the shadow aspect, red supremacy, the genetical memory formed over 4.5 billion years of evolution.

The Ego is the tip of the iceberg, the true self, the "I" that battles between the ID and the Superego. The Ego is akin to the Preconscious as it is operates without conscious thought, thus Fruedian slip occurs when the Superego is breached by the preconscious self.

Superego is the permafrost that encases the iceberg, a defensive mechanism, a social construct of norm, the projected self, the persona, a false image, an alter ego.

The repercussions of the Superego are great, as 90% of what people say, do, don't do and don't say is inherently false, which affects the very reality in which we live, being clearly evident in the vast differences in culture and subculture. This acts as a double-edged sword, both making people feel it is wrong to kill; yet likewise can lead to alienation and fanatical extremities such as Nazism.
